The Retirement Phase of the Village welcomed it's first residents on June 20, 2013.  The Village of Tansley Woods is now Burlington's unique continuum of care community for seniors offering Independent Living, Full Service Retirement Living, Assisted Care and Memory Care.

Our communities are designed as a village. Like a traditional village, we have a variety of common areas and amenities along our Main Street and in the Village Square. However, because the Village is indoors, it remains comfortable in any weather, winter or summer, rain or shine.

Residents can choose from cozy studios that emphasize care to generous one or two bedroom apartments that emphasize independence.

Five Neighbourhoods are offered in our Retirement Living Phase:

INDEPENDENT LIVING
Designed for those seeking to enjoy an active, fulfilling life without worrying about household chores.  This lifestyle option allows you to choose a spacious one or two bedroom suite with full kitchens and washer/dryer.  Residents receive weekly linen and housekeeping, repair and maintenance services and full access to all recreational programs and entertainment.  Underground parking and storage is available.  Meal plans can be added if desired.  Nursing team on site 24 hours a day.

RETIREMENT APARTMENTS

Retirement Living is available to those seeking the support they need in order to maintain their independence. Spacious one bedroom and one bedroom+den suites are available in this neighbourhood and include linen laundry, 2 meals per day, housekeeping and full access to all amenities and events on Main Street.  Additional care levels and medication administration can be provided for an additional fee.

FULL SERVICE RETIREMENT LIVING

Spacious studios and one bedroom suites with charming walk out patios are available on our Main Floor.  This neighbourhood includes linen laundry, 3 meals per day, medication administration, assistance with bath or shower 1X per week, housekeeping and full access to all amenities and events on Main Street.  Additional care levels can be provided for an additional fee.

This program offers care and recreational programs specifically designed for those with memory loss or cognitive impairment. This neighbourhood is a secure environment and our well trained compassionate support team are specially trained in our organizational philosophy of LIVING In My Today.  This unique care philosophy and training program focuses on supporting the well-being of residents living with dementia in Schlegel Villages.
