The Village of Humber Heights is Etobicoke's unique continuum of care community for seniors offering independent living and a full range of care support levels.
Our residences are modern and attractive, set on beautifully landscaped grounds, without the institutional feeling of nursing and retirement homes of the past. Halls are wide and well-lit and feature oak railings for your safety. Common areas and lounges are warm and welcoming with lots of windows.
Residents, both singles and couples, can choose from cozy studios that emphasize care to generous one or two bedroom apartments that emphasize independence.
Apartment and retirement suites offer private bathrooms and kitchenettes. All incorporate senior-friendly features like oversized showers, are well-equipped with sprinklers, fire, safety and emergency response systems, and are staffed by people fully trained in emergency procedures.
Five levels of care are offered at Humber Heights.
RETIREMENT APARTMENTS
Retirement Apartments are available to those seeking the support they need in order to maintain their independence. Spacious one bedroom suites include linen laundry, 2 meals per day, housekeeping and full access to all amenities and events on Main Street. Light assistance in such daily activities as dressing, bathing and medication administration can be provided. Registered nursing staff on site 24 hours/day
FULL SERVICE RETIREMENT LIVING
Spacious studios and one bedroom suites with charming walk out patios are available on our Main Floor and include linen laundry, 3 meals per day, housekeeping and full access to all amenities and events on Main Street. Light assistance in such daily activities as dressing, bathing and medication administration is available.
ASSISTED CARE
Our Assisted Care Floor provides suites in a nurturing environment for those residents who have higher physical care needs. Comprehensive care with activities of daily living is provided around the clock by our well trained compassionate care staff.
MEMORY CARE
Our Memory Care Floor is designed for those residents with memory loss. This program offers care and recreational programs specifically designed for those with Alzheimer's Disease and other related forms of Dementia. This neighbourhood is a secure environment and our well trained compassionate care staff are specially trained to care for those with memory loss.
LONG TERM CARE
Our Long Term Care Home provides high quality care in specialized home environments, depending on your care needs and medical diagnosis. These include a home area specifically designed for those with Alzheimers, a home area for behavioural support as well as home areas for persons whose care needs are primarily physical in nature, including young adults.
Our Long Term Care Home is licensed by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and funded through the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) via the Long-Term Care Home Service Accountability Agreement (L-SAA).
