RAI Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
The RAI Coordinator assists the Director of Nursing Care to direct all aspects of the RAI/MDS implementation process including training and ongoing support and organization for resident assessments. The RAI Coordinator will lead the process of planning and organizing the home’s RAI process change. Monitoring and providing on-site support to al RAI users will be an integral component of the role along with ensuring a resident assessment schedule is developed, completed, current and accessible to all RAI users.

ACCOUNTABILITY
The RAI Coordinator reports to the Director of Nursing Care.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

· Has a current registration as RPN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

· Geriatric nursing experience preferred.

· Skill in planning, coordinating and supervising nursing personnel.

· Must have good mental and physical health

· Must be a cooperative team member.

· Accepting of and willing to work within the policies and objectives of the facility.

· Well developed oral and written communication skills.

· Proficient computer skills.

· Demonstrated experience in leading new initiatives.

· Aptitude with adult education strategies/facilitation.

· Holds current Heart Save Level of CPR.

· RPNAO membership is desirable.

· RAI/MDS knowledge and education preferred
