Grandparents Day is September 13th: Share your story to celebrate with us
As we look ahead to Grandparents Day, we’re thrilled to have partnered with a company called KinCapsule®, which values the beauty of storytelling as much as we do. This year, we’re offering opportunities for younger people to tell us why they think theirs is the “grandest” grandparent. At the same time, we offer the chance for grandparents and grandparent figures to tell us what they love most about the connections they have with the younger people in their lives.
To upload your own story, click the button to open KinCapsule®, a platform Schlegel Villages and #ElderWisdom has partnered with dedicated to sharing stories. When you open KinCapsule®, you will be asked to complete a simple sign-up process.
Once your account is created, you can create your story. After you have finished writing, click Share. This will give you access to the Public Forums, where you can choose where to publish your story.
There are two public forums available:
Wisdom and Stories
This forum is for sharing life stories, wisdom, and personal experiences. You can also respond to the #ElderWisdom conversation starters. To access these prompts, click Story Ideas on the right side of the Create Your Story page.
Grandest Grandparents
This forum celebrates Grandparents Day. Share stories about being a grandparent or explain why your grandparent is the grandest.
After publishing your story, it will be available for others in the community to read and enjoy.
